Britains Farm Toys and Greenmeadow Farm – Competition

This year for the end of year trip my youngest Jacob was very excited to find he was going to Greenmeadow Community Farm in Cwmbran, one of his favourite days out.

He and the rest of his reception class had a brilliant day, and he didn’t stop talking for days about all the animals he’d seen. He especially enjoyed watching the cows being milked, and running after the pigs in the yard.

They also have a brilliant play area which all the youngsters were busy playing on for ages, and a cosy farmhouse cafe and farm shop.

When he got home he went straight to all of his Farm Toys from Britains. We have a Farm Building, some land rovers with trailers, some animals, and a big JCB. He was busy all night using his JCB to chase his chickens and pigs around the room reliving his fun day at the farm.

Thanks to Britains the makers of some wonderful Farm Toys you too can experience a day out at Greenmeadow Farm with your family . We have 2 prize packages to give away to some lucky readers.

Each prize consists of :

1 x Family Ticket to Greenmeadow Community Farm

1 x JCB 550-80 Loadall

1 x Buckrake and Slurry Scraper

All you need to do to enter is leave a comment below all about any of your favourite places for a day trip.

We went to green meadow when the little man was one and would love to go again, so fingers and toes crossed for the giveaway.

We love going to the beach – the little man is always entertained there and it’s free.
Also like bristol zoo or the Tractor Ted farm show once a year is an amazing family event

One of my favourite day trips is to Keilder Water. It is very much an out doors day out, and we like to take our bikes, to ake advantage of the many bike trails there. There is also boat rides .. There were once houses, where the lake is now .. actually, the houses are still there, only submerged. Divers like this feature! There is a restaurant, and plenty of country pubs roundabout.

My two boys love Folly Farm near Tenby – with the farm, fun fare and go karts there is something to please most ages. They also have the only giraffes in Wales and a new penguin enclosure this year. Really reasonably priced and definitely worth a visit.

My two boys, ages one and five, love visiting farms. Luckily we live within easy reach of Greenmeadow and Cefn Mably Farms. I would also recommend the Amelia Trust Farm just north of Barry. As well as being a working farm they support and educate vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. Admission is free but a donation is requested.

Last month we ventured further afield to Oakwood Theme Park near Tenby, West Wales. Normaly theme park entrance prices are out of our reach but we used Tesco Clubcard tokens to get the whole family in for just £16.50

We have taken our children to hatton farm village 3 years in a row we love it so much. Great price for a great day out. Not just a farm, it has parks and bouncy castles with a few mini fair rides too. Always end up spending the whole day there enjoying the sheep racing and tractor rides and even when it rained once briefly, we went in to see the guinea pigs and hold/feed the rabbits which the little ones thought was fab!
