Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 20 – Review

Another day, Another window to be opened on our Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar. Only 4 more days left after this, so we must be nearing closer to that Lego Santa Yoda we’ve all been waiting for. Maybe it’s today… of course it’s not, I think we all know when that one will be!

Today saw us uncover a small black box thingy behind the window of day 20. At first we weren’t quite sure what it was, even our resident expert Thomas was stumped. However after taking a good look at it from all angles I think I worked it out, It’s a Tie Fighter.

(Apologies for the terrible photo, but it does look really good when you pick it up and can see it in 3D)

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 17/18/19 – Review

Big apologies again for doing a few days in a row. I’ve been really sick recently and haven’t been able to open up the laptop for the last few days, let alone post anything.

Lets start with day 17, Behind the window today was a little weapons storage contraption, complete with 2 guns,  a pair of binoculars and a light sabre.

Day 18 gave us this very nice spaceship. Thomas was extremely excited by this one, as he says this is the ship that Anakin travels in when he goes off to find and fight Count Dooku.

Day 19 of our Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar saw us greeted by this cheerful chappie, an imperial Tie fighter pilot.

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 13 & 14 – Review

Apologies yet again for the two days in one post, but this week has been really busy.

It worked out nicely anyway, as the gifts behind day 13 and 14 go very nicely together.

Behind the window of day 13 was probably the most impressive figure yet, a Black R2D2 droid (although he’s probably not called R2D2, it’s gonna be R4z8 or something).

Day 14 saw us get another droid, this time it’s a cute little mouse droid.

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 11 & 12 – Review

Sorry for doing a double day post agin, but in all the excitement I forgot to tell you lot all about it!

While I was cooking breakfast in the kitchen, Thomas and Jacob both went to open the calendar window. Suddenly they both came crashing through the kitchen door shouting “Roger, Roger” “Roger, Roger”, this could only mean one thing. Behind window 11 was a Droid! The one figure Thomas wanted the most. He didn’t stop saying “Roger, Roger” for about half an hour.

Day 12 this morning gave us another vehicle, a snow speeder I think.

We’ve got a great collection of little vehicles and spaceships now, can’t wait to see what else we can find.

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 9 & 10 – Review

Real excitement this morning, as behind the 9th window of our Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar was an X Wing Fighter ship. Thomas has been waiting for one of these so was really over the moon when he saw it.

Our gift today behind window 10 is an imperial shuttle. This is a really nice little ship, easy to put together (which mummy likes) but not only that it’s a very cool looking ship too.

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 8 – Review

Behind today’s window was a bit of a surprise. For once I was convinced I knew what was behind there straight away, It’s just a Rebel Pilot isn’t it? Well Thomas wasn’t convinced, something was different about this guy. So we had to undertake some detective work to find out.

Turn’s out that todays mini figure is Zev Senesca. He was indeed a Rebel Pilot, but he has a new face, more detailed torso and new helmet design. So in a way we were both right :)

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar Day 5 & 6 – Review

Sorry folks for not updating this yesterday. I know your all on tenterhooks, dying to know what was behind day 5’s door.

Yesterday was a rough day as Jacob had a bad reaction to his injections, so was up all night and sick all day. Unfortunately this meant that we forgot to open the calendar until this morning. So I’ve decided to make up for it by giving you two days in one!

Behind the window for Day 5 was this wonderful model of Boba Fett’s ship, Slave 1

It took me about 10 minutes to put together as I was a bit slow this morning and couldn’t quite work out how to do it. You don’t really get much in the way of instructions with this one, and a lot of looking at the picture and placing pieces is involved. This however might be just me and my rubbish Lego building skills. I got there in the end though, and it looks fab.

Day 6 was a lot easier, as it was just two pieces to put onto of each other to create the wonderful Chewbacca.
