The newest series in the incredibly popular Gogo’s Crazy Bones series has just been released just in time for the new school year, and currently hitting playgrounds up and down the country.
This time though the Gogos have got a new game. Essentially a pretty lame card game, it adds a new element to Gogos however you can still play all the old games with them if you want. See here for a list of the different games you can play with your Gogo’s.

Gogo's Crazy Bones Power Series 4 (Full Box of 30 Foil Packets) (Amazon)
To start off with you will need four trading cards and 1 Gogo, each small pack contains two Gogo’s and two cards. The Starter pack contains 4 Gogo’s, 4 cards, rule sheet and Gogo list and a collectors album to store your cards. I was surprised that you don’t get the same card as the Gogo’s you get, they are both different, however Gogo’s really are not that significant in this game the cards are the important things.
You will notice that each Gogo has one of three power symbols printed on the picture side of the card. This is your Gogo’s power, Illustrated by either a Bolt,Swirl or Star. When playing the game, whether you win or lose depends on which power types you and your fellow player have chosen. A star beats Bolt, Bolt beats swirl and Swirl beats star, this is pictured on the back of the cards to help you remember. So if you pick to play a Gogo with a Star power and your competitor produces a Swirl powered card, you lose and player two gets one point.
On the back of the card is a big picture of one of the symbols, this is used when you select a card as a K.O card.
To start the game you take your 4 cards, select one as your K.O card and place your chosen Gogo on top of the symbol. Your opponent also places their K.O card across from yours. You then take turns playing your cards one by one, winning one point each turn if you have the winning card as determined by the power symbols.
The K.O card comes into effect if you win your turn by defeating your opponents power card and also if your card has the same power symbol as your opponents K.O card. If these two conditions are met you can try for a K.O shot. Flick your Gogo towards your opponents Gogo. If you hit their Gogo you instantly win the game regardless of previous points. If you miss the shot you still retain your one point from that turn, just replace the Gogo on the K.O card and continue play.
Okay so it does sound kind of complicated, however if you purchase the Starter pack you get a set of illistrated rules and they explain the game much better than I have,however I did try my best.
Most Wanted Gogo’s
These Gogos are highlighted with a star in my list. The most wanted Gogos are extremly rare versions of other Gogos.
I do think that this series of Gogos is better than the previous versions. I think that the collectros album that you can get to put the cards in is lovely and really sturdy and covered in plastic, much better than the sticker albums which are looking a bit dog-eared now.
I also think that although the card game is quite weak it adds an extra element of competitiveness to the Gogos game and is a bit more exciting than just flicking them over.
