Gogo’s Crazy Bones
My son came home from Nursery yesterday telling me all about these cool little men that his
friend had brought in a special bag to show him, They were called Gogo’s he told me. And he wanted some too.
I was stumped, I’ve never heard of Gogo’s. What are they? What do they do? Where do we even get them from? I really knew nothing about Gogos.
So we went off to the toyshop to search out some Gogo’s. I found out that there actually called Gogo’s CrazyBones and that there’s already 3 sets of them. We decided to start off with the Series one which come in red packets.
There are 80 Gogo’s to collect from each collection. The good part is that they only cost £1.00 for a pack of 3, so you can easily build up a great collection with your pocket money. Shops up and down the country are also running Go gos swap shops as well, to help you complete your collection. You also get a sticker of each of your Gogo’s in each packet, that you can put into an album. Just another reason why they appeal to kids so much, all kids love collecting and sticker albums. Put them together and you’ve got a huge hit!
Here’s a bit of back history about Gogo’s Crazy Bones. Aparently this game of Crazy Bones has been played for hundreds of years, inspired by the ancient Greek game of Tabas. Tabas or also known as Astragals was originally played with sheep’s knuckle bones, hence the Crazy Bones name nice!
Thankfully the modern day Crazy Bones are made of plastic not bone. Each coming in 5 different colours, there are also 5 special rare Gogo’s which come in multicolour.

Gogo’s Games
Here is how to play all of the official Gogos Crazy Bones games.
Scoring: With this game you take it in turns to choose 5 Gogos and throw them all up in the air at the same time. Scoring is based around how your Gogo eventually lands. If the Gogo is standing you earn 5 points, sideways 2 points, facing downwards 1 point, facing upwards bad luck you get no points. The player with the most points after 3 turns, wins the game.
Bowling: Each player places an equal number of Gogo’s on the floor, just away from the wall. You then take turns trying to knock down your opponents Gogo’s. It doesnt matter if you knock down your own Gogo’s that doesn’t count just stand them back up. However knocks down the most Gogo’s wins.
On Line: For this game you need to either find a line on the ground or draw on yourself, then each player takes a turn at throwing a Gogo. However throws closest to the line wins the throw. Winner is the player with the most won throws.
Battle: You and your opponent must place your battalion of Gogo’s in a line opposite each other. After deciding how many turns your going to each have, each player has a turn trying to knock down the most Gogo’s in one throw. The player with the highest number of knockdowns is the winner.
K.O.: This is my personal favourite Gogo game. Firstly it’s best to draw a circle on the ground, then Each player places an agreed equal number of Gogo’s in the circle. Then each player has a turn at throwing on of their Gogo’s into the circle, trying to knock their opponenents ones out. If one of the Gogo’s falls over inside the circle, put it back in position. The player which has the most Gogo’s left in the circle at the end of the game is the winner.
In Flight: This is a really fun game, another favourite. Me and my son enjoy playing this one. Both players separately place 4 Gogo’s into a square shape and 1 extra Gogo in the middle. Take the middle Gogo and throw it up in the air. Whilst midair try to pick up the four Gogo’s and finally catch the flying Gogo before it hits the ground. You get a point for every Gogo you pick up, providing you catch the flying Gogo as well. If you don’t catch the thrown Gogo you get no points. Winner with the most points wins.
Basket: For this game it’s a good idea that each player uses 5 Gogo’s of the same colour eg.. Player one all red , player two all blue. You will also need a box or container you can throw the Gogo’s into. Each player takes turns throwing their Gogo’s and trying to get them in the basket. Player with the most in the basket wins.
